Now that Fall is officially here, you can finally start switching your closet out for the season. It’s all about being cute and cozy for Fall, and Anthropologie has a collection of sweaters in that’s stylishly on trend but will also keep you warm when you step out.

Cozy Sweaters from Anthropologie

While neutrals are a staple of the season, Anthropologie’s collection is filled with a few more playful styles and colors, so your cold weather wardrobe will be anything but boring.

The Daily Practice by Anthropologie Turtleneck Sweater Midi Dress technically isn’t a sweater, but it’s just as cozy as one! It’s designed to do it all – or nothing at all. It’s such a flattering cut and available in standard, petite and plus. Pair it with a classic white bootie to play up the neon shade, or slip on a classic pair of Uggs when you’re just lounging around.

I know I know, upon reading the title you’re probably thinking “who is thinking about Fall when it’s 95 degrees out?!” But hear me out! While the official first day of Fall isn’t until September 23, we’re entering into a transitional season this month. It may be hot during the day, but the nights are cool, so now’s the time to start adding in those pieces that will help with layering. Evereve, known for their elevated, everyday style, is the perfect choice to help you ease into Fall!

Evereve Saddle Creek

Light layers, like patterned kimonos, silky camisoles and quarter-sleeve button down blouses are wardrobe staples for this time of year. Also, trend setting denim (like Evereve’s Wide Leg Cropped styles) are perfect for those casual days. They can be worn with both heels and sandals, so they will be a versatile addition to your wardrobe.

When I think of quintessential Fall fashion, there are certain pieces and looks that immediately come to mind. Style trends will always come and go, but there are classic elements that all wardrobes should have during this season, regardless of your personal style choices. With that being said, J.Crew has entered the chat.

J.Crew Fall Edit

J. Crew is an iconic heritage brand that’s been around since 1983, and while the fabrications and cuts they have may evolve with the times, they will also be considered a go to for signature pieces like coats, cashmere sweaters, pants and more. Now that we are officially officially in Fall (hello 60 degree temps!), let’s highlight those must-have Fall styles for the season.

J.Crew Fall Edit

Space-Dyed Mockneck Sweater

This isn’t your everyday sweater, and the relaxed fit style of this sweater is perfect for those casual, cozy days.

J.Crew Fall Edit

High-rise ’90s Classic Straight Corduroy Pant

This ’90s-inspired jean with a superhigh rise and classic straight leg is perfect for an “I’ve had this pair forever, and they’re still my favorite” kind of vibe. Swap these out when denim isn’t enough, but you don’t want to wear a traditional trouser pant.

484 Slim-fit Corduroy Pant

Similarly for women, a great pair of corduroy pants should be a staple for all men. The slimmer fit allows for a sleeker look, and you can try them in a super fun color or stick with your neutrals.

J.Crew Fall Edit

Slim Stretch Poplin Shirt

Wearing button-ups are a given, so why not try them in a fun pattern or print? Wear it alone for a more whimsical look, or layer it under your favorite cashmere sweater or jacket.

J.Crew Fall Edit

Limited-edition Crew Baseball Cap

What’s more classic than a baseball cap? This is a cap that speaks for itself, and will be perfect for both bad hair days, or for a “model off duty” type vibe.

J.Crew Fall Edit

Puff-sleeve Sweatshirt Dress

Looks like a dress, feels like sweats. The puff-sleeve detail elevates the dress, so you can keep it casual with sneakers, or belt it and add knee boots and a blazer for a dressier fit.

J.Crew Fall Edit

’90s Classic Straight Jean

Every wardrobe need a pair of denim in that classic medium wash. The ’90s are back, so try it in a straight fit vs your usual skinny.

J.Crew Fall Edit

Lodge Coat

A camel wool coat will always be in style, regardless of what the current trends may be. This cut and color and will literally pair with everything.

The official first day of Fall is only a few days away, and while the temps may still be a little warm, we’re starting to get glimpses of what’s to come once Autumn officially arrives. Fall has always been my favorite time of year for fashion, so naturally I’m itching to update my wardrobe with pieces that will help me easily transition into the season.

Madewell Fall Pieces

I lean more towards a classic, slightly 70s aesthetic when temps start to cool down, so I popped into our Madewell store to see what was new (and for a little style inspo). If you’re in need of some new pieces as well, here are 5 transitional pieces from Madewell that are perfect for Fall.

Madewell Fall Pieces

Fresh Denim
New denim will ALWAYS be a great choice, and Fall is typically when newer cuts and washes are released in stores. I try to keep a variety of styles in stock: a skinny, a flare, and a boyfriend cut. This will give me versatility with the silhouettes that I want to play with when putting outfits together. Madewell is known for their denim, and they have a ton of different styles to choose from, up to a size 4X.

Madewell Fall Pieces

Casual Boot
Last year I fell in love with combat boots, but this year I want to add a Chelsea Boot into the mix. We love a good “model off duty” fit, and these paired with a girlfriend denim and an oversized pullover sweater will easily give you that vibe, or you can just keep it simple and chic in all black with leggings and a moto jacket as well.

Madewell Fall Pieces

Gold Jewelry
As much as I like to try out quirky statement jewelry, time and time again I find myself going back to classic gold accessories, and some of my favorites have come from Madewell. I never leave home without jewelry because I feel like it completes every outfit. From earrings, to necklaces to rings, I always update my jewelry collection with their pieces. They’re great quality, long lasting, and make every outfit look chic.

Madewell Fall Pieces

Leather Crossbody
Madewell has some of the best handbags on the market, so it’s only fitting that a new crossbody style be added to your wardrobe. A quality crossbody bag that can be worn every day is perfect for both those that are always on the go, and the people that don’t like to carry around a lot of junk with them. The shapes feel equally vintage and modern, so your look will always be timeless.

Madewell Fall Pieces

Cool Sunnies
A timeless aviator style of sunglasses are a MUST for everyone. No matter what your personal style is, they instantly make you look cool, and they literally go with everything.

Madewell Fall Pieces

In addition to these essentials, I like to stock up on easy long sleeve tees, light-weight cardigans, a slip-on mule and a few floral midi dresses to help get me through the transitional part of the season. Madewell gave me a ton of style inspiration, and will hopefully do the same for you. Happy shopping!

I’m so so ready for Fall. It’s still pretty hot in Memphis, but with students now going back to school over the last few weeks, it’s safe to say that Fall IS coming.

Transitional clothing items are a must-have right now. While we will still have a few super hot days here and there through mid-September, we will soon begin to have warm days and cooler nights, so a shift will happen with how we dress day to day. Stores are starting to get in Pre-Fall pieces as well (and have great sales), so it’s the perfect time to begin updating your wardrobe with some transitional pieces. Due to COVID, you won’t have to go overboard and buy a ton of new clothes as the weather begins to change, but it’s still nice to update your wardrobe with a cute pair of mules or kimono. If you’re wondering what you should invest in in the upcoming weeks, here are some pre-Fall pieces to add to your wardrobe.

Thanksgiving is a few days away, and I don’t know about you guys but I’m still trying to figure out what to wear. Cuteness is a must, but you also want to be comfy so that you can actually enjoy your meal(s) without fear that you’ll look a mess in those annual recap photos. I know that a lot of people treat the holiday super casual now, but I still like to look a little polished, even if I’m just wearing my denim, or a simple sweater dress.

I’ve rounded up a few Thanksgiving outfit ideas in case you’re still trying to figure out what to wear.

Cords in a fun color with your favorite sweater are a classic choice.

Flowy maxi dresses will always be my (personal) favorite choice for Thanksgiving dinner.

A dressier (but still comfy) option is a pleated skirt and cute heels.

When all else fails, try a sweater dress, thigh high boots and your fave hat.

A simple outfit with statement making boots will keep the fam’s focus on your style and off your love life.

It doesn’t get any easier than a loose sweater, jeans and comfy ankle booties.

Add a little sparkle to your denim based look to keep the outfit from being boring.

IMO, faux leather leggings and a loose top is a dressier version of pajamas.

What’s your Thanksgiving style?

You can have a closet full of clothes, but that doesn’t mean you won’t ever say to yourself “I have nothing to wear!”. Shopping your closet and remixing your favorite pieces can be fun, but sometimes you really do need to add in a few new pieces to wake up your wardrobe.

Fall-Trends-To-Try-Now

When this feeling hits, instead of going out and buying any and everything, take a moment to take stock of what you have, what you need, and what you should try differently so that you don’t get bored. If you still find yourself at a standstill while standing in your favorite store, remember these 3 tips:

Fall-Trends-To-Try-Now

Bet on denim
Denim is always a good choice. A medium rinse straight leg skinny is safe bet, but flares have made a resurgence this season so don’t be so quick to skip over it. Denim, sweater, handbag: Indigo.

Fall-Trends-To-Try-Now

Choose rompers for “One and Done” looks
Rompers (or jumpsuits-which ever one you want to call it) are so easy to wear this season. They are a great alternative to dresses, can be dressed up or down based on how you accessorize them, and can take you to so many different settings in a day. Wear alone or top with your favorite cardigan or jacket once temps start to cool. Romper + necklace: Threads Memphis.

Fall-Trends-To-Try-Now

When all else fails, wear a dress
Sometimes, a girl just needs a cute dress. This season, try the slightly babydoll dress trend; it’s a looser fit than your normal shift dress, but it’s still just as versatile. Wear with sneakers when running errands and then switch to mules or heels and a cute cardie for dinner. Dress + cardigan: Threads Memphis, Bracelets: Kendra Scott.

The first day of Fall was September 23rd, and even though it’s still a little warm, that doesn’t mean we aren’t itching to break out some cozy knits and grab a Pumpkin Spice Latte #sobasic. If you live in the South, it won’t completely cool down til at least October, but you can still break out some of your favorite Fall fits to get you in the mood.

Fall Trends To Try Now

You might have to think “cooler” thoughts during the day so that you don’t overheat, but we all own a few pieces that we can wear now into early Fall.

Fall Trends To Try Now Fall Trends To Try Now

Gauzy Knits
Is anything better than a gauzy, lightweight sweater? Pair your favorite shorts with a cozy knit in a dreamy, autumnal hue for a look that’s perfect for brunchin’ with friends. Shorts, Sweater, Earrings: American Threads.

Snakeskin Prints
Snakeskin prints are h-o-t for Fall, and you can make the fun trend more accessible(but still edgy) by rocking it in a mini skirt style with your favorite elevated tee and denim jacket. Jacket, Tee, Skirt, Jewelry: Indigo

Lightweight Trousers
Swap out your skinny denim for lightweight trousers that can easily take you from workwear to weekend warrior. A crotchet sweater works for casual Fridays, but pair with Chucks and a henley tee for an off-duty look. Sweater, Trousers: American Threads. Earrings, Bracelet: Kendra Scott

What are your must-have Fall pieces?

School is back in session, and while there will be days where sweats and a top-knot will be the go-to uniform for class, some days you’ll have the time to get uber cute and step up your style. There are so many trends that you can try for Fall, but there are a few essential pieces that all college girls should have in their wardrobe to help make getting dressed so much easier.

Must-Have Fall Pieces College Wardrobe

Here’s a quick breakdown of the 4 pieces every college girl will need for Fall.

Lace Kimono
Cardigans are cool, but lace kimonos are so much more stylish. They literally go with everything (over dresses, shorts and band tees, your favorite denim and a ribbed tank), so stock up on them in fun colors when you can. Kimono, Dress: American Threads.

Must-Have Fall Pieces College Wardrobe

Pleated Skirt
Whether you go for a midi length or rock a mini length like Karen, pleated skirts are such a fun alternative to your standard pencil skirt. Pair with a gauzy knit sweater and booties for a cali cool look, or wear with your favorite graphic tee and sneakers so that you can get to class in a flash (but still be cute!). Sweater, Skirt: American Threads. Bracelet, Earrings: Kendra Scott.

Must-Have Fall Pieces College Wardrobe

Flare Denim
70s vibes will always be a good look for Fall, so stock up on your favorite wash in a flare style. Wear them with chunky knits, bodysuits, and band tees for a modern boho vibe. Denim, Sweater: Indigo.

Must-Have Fall Pieces College Wardrobe

Beaded Headband
Who knew that headbands would make such a comeback this year! Instead of piling your hair into a pony with a scrunchie, take 5 more minutes to blow it out and wear with a beaded headband. A neutral color goes with everything, but make your look even more fashion forward by picking one with pearl accents. Headband, Earrings: Indigo.
