August Edit | Madewell Favorites for Late-Summer Style

August always feels like a transition month. Summer’s still here, but Fall is starting to whisper that it’s on the way. This month’s edit is all about easy pieces that hold onto Summer’s lightness while nodding toward more polished styling, and Madewell always hits that sweet spot. Looking to add something new to help transition this season? Here are a few key pieces we are loving.

Timeless Fall Style With Madewell

Madewell has always been known for their classic, timeless style, and their latest Fall collection is no different. Many of the silhouettes have been updated to keep the pieces modern (hello barrel denim), but overall, the collection is full of those classic foundational pieces in timeless colors that you will want to for your Fall wardrobe, especially if you’re someone that loves to create a capsule wardrobe.

Now, a capsule wardrobe doesn’t have to be boring, but it should consist of pieces that are high quality, seasonally appropriate, and versatile enough to be able to be worn in many different combinations and for various situations. There *IS* a such thing as the perfect denim, and Madewell is on a mission to help you find it with them. Must-Try Fall Trends with Madewell

When I think of Fall, there are certain sartorial trends that will always come to mind: cozy knits, easy denim, and a touch of leather (amongst other things). Yes, we all have our own unique personal style, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge that there are certain pieces/trends that should make its way into our wardrobes when the temps begin to cool.

Madewell’s current Fall collection is full of those quintessential pieces to add in, so if you were looking for a little style inspo, here are some of the must-try Fall trends.

Houndstooth Boyfriend Blazer
One can never have too many blazers, and a relaxed-fit, houndstooth blazer is a perfect layering piece to add in for Fall. Pair it with your favorite distressed denim to dress them up a bit, or give your corporate trousers a more “cool girl” fit by wearing it over an easy tank and finishing the look with chunky loafers.

Summer Essentials with Madewell

While everyone has their own personal style, there are still pieces that people will stock their wardrobe with and reach for every season. Summer is known for its easy, breezy classics, and Madewell is a great place to find pieces that are classic, yet still on trend for the season.

We have a few more weeks of Summer remaining, so if you’re in need of a few wardrobe refreshers, here are a few Summer essentials that you should consider picking up from Madewell.

Dresses
Keeping cool during the Summer is a MUST, so obviously dresses should be on your wardrobe list. Because we are in a transitional period, however, I’d advise picking out dresses in darker prints, neutrals and more muted tones vs. super bright colors so that you can easily transition them into the Fall. Pair now with your favorite sandals, then switch over to ankle booties and layer a white or denim jacket over it.

Flare Denim
While flare denim is usually reserved for Fall outfits, now’s the perfect time to add a pair to your wardrobe. Pair them with an easy, retro style tee and sandals for now, and then swap those out for booties and a flowy, boho style blouse.

Leather handbags
